See All ReviewsWe absolutely adore Ananda Kitchen. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and filled with so much warmth. Having such wonderful Indian vegetarian meals so close to home — served by smiling, dedicated volunteers — is truly a blessing. It has become our comfort spot every day, and we couldn’t be more grateful🙏
Ananda Rasoi is 100% vegetarian restaurant located within the premises of the Hindu Temple in The Woodlands area of Houston. Food is very tasty, freshly made and very authentic South Indian taste. The Dahi Vada is simply outstanding! Poori Baaji and Chole was very satisfying and reminded me of Mangalore! The baaji taste and texture reminded me of my college days and how we would relish a simple meal. Thank you Chef Umaji- you are an awesome cook.
I am from Dallas and recently tried Ananda Kitchen in The Woodlands. Honestly, I was very impressed. The food tasted truly authentic, both North Indian and South Indian dishes were done really well, which is honestly rare to find in one place. Everything felt fresh, satwik, hygienic, and made with a lot of care. The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The staff and volunteers were extremely warm and welcoming. You can actually feel that people are serving with heart there. Having the beautiful temple right next to it makes the whole experience even more special and calming. Really happy to see a volunteer-run place maintaining such high quality in food, cleanliness, and customer service. A must try, if you are in the area.
